Committees
A committee is a working group appointed by the union board for the preparation and implementation of specific interest in Göta studentkår. Each committee has its own job description and budget that is determined by the union board. Committees are a collective common platform for engagement in the union.
Göta studentkår currently has two committees: the Pub Committee, which manages the pub business and the Göta International Committee (GIC), which handles the kickoff and other events for international students.
Rules for committees are regulated in "Rules for Committees and Committees". You can find it on the page Steering Documents.
What is GIC?
GIC (Göta International Committee) is a part of the Göta Student Union and is responsible for helping newly arrived students settle in Gothenburg and make Gothenburg their second home away from home. We organise activities throughout the year, but especially at the beginning of each semester. We also organise buddy groups (where a existing student is paired with a group of new students) and help pick up keys for new students.
