SFS

Swedish national union of students

49 student unions, 342 000 students.

SFS

Sveriges förenade studentkårer (SFS) is an association of student unions at Sweden's universities and colleges and acts as the students' voice in national and international politics. Together, SFS gathers around a quarter of a million students. By uniting nationally, the student unions have a united voice towards the government, authorities and individual parties.

The main issues for SFS are student policy at the national level, which includes what conditions universities and colleges have to conduct education and what conditions students have. Every year, all member unions gather and set the direction for SFS policy for next year in a large council meeting where Göta studentkår as Sweden's second largest student union has great influence.
